Beach Week, Beach Kids

We have been going to the Delaware shore for about 35 years and staying in basically the same location.    It felt great to be able to share this wonderful place with my kids this year.  We soaked in the sun, read on the beach (those of us who could read), talked to our relatives, ate ice cream (a lot of ice cream), knitted (those of us who could knit), ate crabs (and MORE crabs), surfed the waves, and rode the ferry there and back.  Elliot made a new friend of his cousin Marie and loved playing in the waves with her.  So, now we're heading home a little sunkissed, a little talked out, and wishing that both the Delaware shore and our Viriginia relatives were a bit closer in space and time.
