Saturday's Shenanagans..... or Riding the Rails

On Saturday we went to what I consider one of the world's best museums, The Seashore Trolley Musuem  http://www.trolleymuseum.org/. They are basically a museum based around transportation.  They have a one room exhibit hall and then you get a ride on one of their restored Trolleys that does a circle and they talk about the history of the Trolley in the area.  Then, you can walk around and look at thier restored buses, trolley, and subway trains.  It is a young boy's dream museum.  We all just love the trolley ride on a warm day because they bring out the open air ones.  They are working on restoring a carnival trolley from Montreal.  It's missing a motor which is very expensive to fix or replace.  I wish I had a picture of this trolley- it has three or four teirs with ironwork and lights.  Some day you'll see me on it and I can't wait!  Really, if you are ever in the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport, Maine area, you absolutely have to check it out.

Here are pictures:

They even had their buses out for a Bus group who was having a clamebake on Saturday.

Phoebe's little head.  She SO wants to ride the school bus with her brother next year.

This place would be perfect for a wedding or birthday or history buffs or little ones who want to ride around on a train.   It's super cool!
