Cooking Together scrapbook page

These are the latest scrapbook pages from my ultra productive Friday night scrapbooking with Rena and Allison.  This one is the two page layout of the kids cooking together.

I couldn't resist doing a whole page on Phoebe's dirt cup experience.  She thought we had put real dirt on her chocolate pudding.  She howled for 10 minutes while I explained that it was crushes oreos.  She just wouldn't believe me.  Finally, she ate it and had a big grin on her face.

The "Dress Up"  page is for the Scrappin' Soul Sisters Design Team.  When I got the papers, I was uncertain about what to do with them since they were that color green that is NOT my favorite- I call it institutional green because it reminds me of the color of my elementary school walls. But I ended up hand-cutting the little dresses from a pattern and minimizing the green.  Ultimately, I like how it came out and you can't beat Phoebe's little face in all her hats.

"Homemade Valentines" Srapbooking Page

Here is the latest from my doodling class.  I am putting a picture of the page and another of my "assistant" Dewey.  When the kids aren't around, he loves to "help" by sitting on my supplies.

Doodling Class- Angel Baby Layout

This is the scrapbook page that I did for my class.  It came out quite well (if I do say so myself) and I was afraid of hand-writing ANYTHING.  Funny how a class will force you to take a risk that you might not otherwise take.

Teacher gifts

Here are the teacher gifts (on the same idea as the doodling mug because Oriental Trading Company sells 6 to a set) for Phoebe's teachers.  Today was her last day at Tender Years Daycare after Elliot's  and Phoebe's 2 years apiece.

Doodling Mug

As anyone knows who knows me, I always carry around a coffee mug with me in the morning that normally has pictures of my kids on it.  Unfortunately, this year 2 of my 3 mugs have gotten lost, and the last one is missing (I probably put it down somewhere at school).  In the quest for new adventures, I am taking an on-line scrapbooking class on doodling.  So, here are the results of my first class- kinda cool if you ask me!  I'll post more stuff as I do it.

Graduation Mini-Book

Have college graduates where you are stuck about what to give them for graduation?  Here is one idea!  This is a mini-book that I made for our babysitter who has watched Elliot all year.  I left her some options to add pictures and reflections for each month of her first year of college. I made it on a acrylic book from Oriental Trading Company (I think I had to buy 2 to get enough pages) and added page turning tags by just punching circles.  ((The pictures are in reverse order because I can't quite figure out how to upload correctly.))

A Peek at my Week Mini-Book from CKC

This is the finished product of a mini-book made at the Creating Keepsakes Conference.  I love the idea of documenting a week of my life as a mom, teacher, and scrapbooker.  I love how it came out.

About me

I am a high school English teacher and a scrapbooker on the weekends. I find myself digging into my craft cabinet for all sorts of projects- school bulletin boards, cards, scrapbook pages, mini-books, cupcakes, and you name it.
I am also a mother (or Mommy) to two kids- Elliot who is almost 5 and Phoebe who is 21 months. I have a partner who is a high school math teacher. We live in Concord, NH.
